I don’t understand why the legal machine doesn’t do something to put an end to the practice of newspapers publishing details about someone like Ryan Giggs. I mean, really, who cares if he has had an affair or not? I suggest nobody, except those actually involved. Scrag-end newspapers say that publishing this garbage is in the public interest, I say that’s bollocks.
The only thing that Ryan Giggs has done that is in the public interest is play football. Not once (that I can recall) has he done anything else that the public might be interested in. His personal life is and should remain precisely that, personal.
It’s a bit odd don’t you think, that the journalists themselves never seem to be under attack from the press. Let’s face it, there must be a whole heap of scandal lying behind every hack that has used various means, both illegal and not, to collect so called evidence against their targets. I wonder how much public interest there would be in a newspaper that focussed solely on that?
